Wunderment.org was born out of the desire to have a more secure and privacy friendly existence.
May of the operating systems and applications we use on a day to day basis take advantage of the access we give them to our data for their own uses. Sometimes this is for profit and sometimes it is to improve their own services.
Either way though we, as users, seldom have a choice in the matter and so Wunderment.org is a place to try and change that.
Wunderment.org tries to improve the situation without sacrificing too much in the way of usability or features as best as possible.
The first project for Wunderment.org is WundermentOS Mobile, an implementation of Android/LineageOS without Google applications and a fully secured bootloader.
Next up is a F-Droid repository and automated build process for Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) as full fledged Android applications.
After that there are several possibilities, including a desktop Linux distro, Firefox/Thunderbird distros with more focus on privacy.
All of the code developed by Wunderment.org is open source and hosted on GitHub.
