WundermentOS is a custom Android ROM based on LineageOS for select OnePlus and Pixel phones.
Feel free to go over to the Installation Guides, Downloads, or FAQ.
Open Source
WundermentOS is using the best of the open source world to make sure you have the best possible experience.
Based on LineageOS, which in turn is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), WundermentOS looks to make a great OS even better by adding additional services, software and security features.
WundermentOS doesn’t support Google services or try to replace them with open source work arounds, instead WundermentOS provides an alternative that is more secure and respects your privacy.
Secure
WundermentOS builds LineageOS/ASOP as a user build instead of the more common user_debug builds. This improves security and stability while reducing unused code for day to day users.
Another key goal of WundermentOS is to enable the re-locking of the bootloader. With an open bootloader, required to install custom OS’s on mobile phones, you must ensure your physical phone is always in your control. A user with physical access to your phone can compromise your device with little effort. Re-locking the bootloader ensures that even if you lose physical control of your device (like when crossing an international border), you are secure.
Bootloader re-locking can be dangerous (you can render your phone useless) so WundermentOS provides a step by step walk through of the process.
User Friendly
Installing and using custom OS’s on your phone can be a daunting task, but even after installation, they can be challenging to maintain. WundermentOS’ goal is to make it as easy as possible to live with your phone day to day.
Included in WundermentOS is the F-Droid store & privilege extension, making finding and installing open source applications easy.
WundermentOS is also easy to update, with monthly releases happening only after the AOSP security patches are applied. As part of the monthly release, any required firmware updates will be included.
Supported Phones
WundermentOS is available for multiple phones, head on over to the installation guides to find out which ones .
Only phones that support verified boot with user signed keys as well as current LineageOS support will be considered for future development. OnePlus devices support this as well as Google Nexus/Pixel devices, however recent Google devices are not supported by LineageOS and will likewise not be supported by WundermentOS.
